Dream Seaquence

I think the preperation of the surface took longer than the actual painting.. I used mod podge, watercolor paper, pink tissue paper, and texture paint on cardboard to get the textures.. then painted over in acrylics. Lace too. The idea for this popped up when I was close to falling asleep around 4 a.m. and had to get up and scribble down the rough draft. When I first thought of it there were lots of silly characters on rafts and surf boards.. but the composition changed when I was painting so I left them out. Think it works better this way anyhow. I did the crazy texture stuff before I knew what I was going to paint on it so a lotta things changed from the sketch to the painting.
